Powell Express Moving

We contacted Roger at Powell based on the suggestion of a friend to help us move our household from Dubuque to the greater Madison area. To make a long story short, we very happy with the service from Roger and his team. We have a rather large household, so this was a multi-day, multi-truck and trai...

Because we were having hardwood floors throughout our home refinished, we had to move all of our furniture from the second floor to the main floor and then back up; followed by moving all of the dining room and living room furniture into other rooms in the house. The gentleman from Powell Express mo...

A fine moving company. Showed up on time. Moved my goods down two floors. Very fast. No damage to any items. Moved to my new apartment and set up. I'm serious, these guys busted ass!! Will recommend and use again!!!

Roger and his two employees arrived on time and took great care in loading, unloading and placing my furniture. He had quoted me what I thought was a very reasonable price and I had a check ready for him when the truck arrived. The move was quick and efficient, and when they finished, Roger stated...

I attempted to get a quote for my in-state move about four hours away and this is the conversation that followedUnfortunately it looks like will be going with someone else and based off these reviews the rest of you should as well. The sad part is that I can't even get a review out of it and he told...

Roger & his crew were professional, courteous, and fast (while being careful with my belongings). I was concerned about some of my things being banged into walls & doorways but there were no issues. Paying by the hour for the job, I was very pleased how they worked non-stop at an impressive pace. Th...

Giving them three stars because even after paying premium they (1) could not estimate that all stuff won't fit in one round and left stuff behind for us to move (2) broke leg of TV table. After seeing my 3star honest review above, owner of Powell express sent me arrogant email calling my home dirty e...

We called Roger (the owner) to move some big pieces of furniture (dining tables, beds, futons, etc) from Santa Clara to Sunnyvale. We have no complaints about these guys. They did the standard things of wrapping furniture that might be damaged or scratch other surfaces, covering walk ways that might...

I found this company through yelp. A few things I found useful and I want to keep it simple and precise:Price: $105/hr with 3 people - based on my research, it's reasonable, most will charge your over $130 for 3 people move. I was concerned about the "charges including travel time to reach my hous...

We just completed a cross-country move to Mountain View and all of our stuff was in portable storage units. We decided to contract Powell Express after seeing their reviews here on Yelp. Roger was easy to get in touch with and he gave me a reasonable quote to get our two crates of stuff up to the...

I feel an update is due, even though this business still provides 5-star service, because we've hired them for something different than before: moving between an on-site storage container and the house. They're great even if they aren't transporting belongings from one geographic location to another...

Thanks to Yelp, I found Powell Express for a recent unexpected move. This company is perfection. We'd never hired a moving company before (always rented trucks and did it ourselves) and Roger made it so easy! The price was reasonable, making the appointment was a breeze, and the guys were prompt. I...
